Election 2024: Vote wisely and responsibly, say Catholic Bishops to Ghanaians
The Ghana Catholic Bishops Conference has urged all eligible voters to utilize their political rights with prudence, responsibility, and a strong sense of national duty.
The Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference, which is known for its moral leadership and constant advocacy for peace and development, advised Ghanaians to fully comprehend the policies and platforms given by various political parties before voting.
The Catholic Bishops’ appeal was made as part of their ongoing efforts to ensure that the elections benefit Ghana and its citizens.
Most Rev. Matthew Kwasi Gyamfi, the Bishops’ Conference’s national president, addressed the people on behalf of the Conference and emphasized the need of informed voting.
Most Rev. Gyamfi asked Ghanaians to thoroughly educate themselves on each political party’s policies, with a focus on the promises and efforts made for national development.
The Bishops emphasized that the future of the country is in the hands of its citizens, and their votes will determine Ghana’s course in the coming years.
“We urge the entire electorate to exercise their right to vote wisely and responsibly.” Educate yourself about the candidates and their agendas, and vote for those who share your vision for a better Ghana.
“Your vote is a powerful tool for shaping the future of our nation, and it is crucial that it is cast with careful consideration and respect for the democratic process.”
